MILESTONE: TravelPledge Welcomes Its 10,000th Nonprofit

TravelPledge connects benefit auction organizers with generous providers of vacations, golf, lessons, cruises and bucket list experiences. On November 8th, 2019 the 10,000th nonprofit account was created at TravelPledge.com.

“We are grateful to our generous experience providers and to our nonprofits that leverage our platform to support great causes,” said Mike Last, TravelPledge CEO and founder.

TravelPledge serves nonprofits across the United States. In recent years thousands of charities, foundations, schools and community organizations have registered and posted their fundraising galas. Most nonprofits learn about TravelPledge through word-of-mouth.

TravelPledge is known for its unique model that guarantees that the nonprofit keeps at least 40% of each winning bid. Smaller ticket experiences (like golf foursomes) generate at least 80% of the winning bid.

Competing fixed-price consignment services expose fundraisers to the risk of generating a negligible donation when an item sells near the minimum bid. TravelPledge eliminates this risk by partnering exclusively with generous providers that enjoy the additional promotion they receive.

“Our message is resonating with development directors,” said Last. “Nonprofits should always generate a meaningful donation no matter the winning bid.”

Last also contributes TravelPledge’s success to its breadth of fun experiences available for auction. “We offer the exclusive vacations fundraisers expect, but also smaller ticket local experiences to round out each auction’s lineup. For example, our selection of golf foursomes helps many galas generate record donations each year.”

TravelPledge partners with more than 650 generous experience providers in the U.S. and internationally, making over $72M in fun experiences available to 501(c) organizations.
